What is the benefit of a pack walk?

For dogs with reactivity issues, pack walks are the perfect structured socialization opportunity.

Dogs within the group that need extra space -- whether for reactivity, fear, anxiety, or excitement issues -- wear yellow bandanas to ensure they are given plenty of distance.

Pack walks are not only beneficial for reactive dogs, but also dogs that may require calmer interactions, like senior dogs or those recovering from an injury. Overly social dogs can also benefit from the walks as they learn to ignore nearby dogs.

See more about why we don't allow greetings on our walk, here.

"It means the world to me to hear encouraging words from the other pack humans when we are struggling."

Pack Walks are not just for dogs!

Not only do pack walks help the dogs socialize, but the human end of the leash gets to socialize, too!

Our members have the opportunity to socialize with like-minded individuals during the weekly walks and also at our Pack Socials held at local Erie businesses throughout the year.
